Welcome to our ‘Transition Page’. Over the course of the year, a number of documents will be placed here to help your son or daughter gain as much knowledge and information as possible about their new school when they join in Year 7.

Talks to parents of pupils in Years 4 and 5
We try to keep in touch with our family of primary school not just about the curriculum and learning, but to establish firm links and keep you informed about any recent changes or developments. See our news section for more information.
Learning Links with our family of schools
We have a number of learning events each year. These give us the opportunity for children in Year 4 and 5 to come to St Gabriel’s to undertake learning enrichment programmes, usually in the spring and summer terms.
In Spring 2014, children form Year 5 came to St Gabriel’s to work on a programme called ‘African Savannah’ which focussed on integrating the arts subjects and technology. The performance that followed, to their parents and teachers, was fantastic and a great advert for their own schools. Dance, drama, drumming and singing were undertaken in the performing arts department, and the designing of the stage and artefacts was undertaken in technology. In art, the masks were made – all unique and individual expressions of the pupils’ ideas.
