Update 18/3/2020 - Supplementary to work allocated through Show My Homework a website is now available that can be used to direct students to content and stage related materials. This link for 'Work from home' can be found on the left of this screen.
Home learning, at St Gabriel’s, enriches and builds on classroom learning. We aim to develop the skills of independent learning so that you can make the best progress at St Gabriel’s and be ready to meet the challenges of the next stage in your journey through life.
We use the on-line ‘Show my Homework’ to provide full details of tasks set, deadlines and resources to support completion. Show my Homework can be accessed by clicking on the logo on the front page of the school website to display the ‘school calendar’ where you can search for any homework task. Pupils and parents/carers have been given log in details for lap tops, tablets and smart phones which then allows access to a personalised home learning calendar for each learner and enable them to receive notifications of when deadlines are approaching.
All year groups have a St Gabriel’s passport to make a written record when it is needed and for any communication between parents and staff.
For on-line learning try the latest development: Century Tech, login as you would at school. This package is designed to teach at the pace of the learner and with the materials they will need 'next'.
Also subscribe to GCSEPod for lessons in all your subjects.
